Arrive prepared for your treatment: ensure your face is clean, makeup-free, and hair is pulled back. Remember, appointments are set for 20-minute slots, but you'll likely spend about an hour with us. We strive to stay on time, but quality care and answering all our questions are our top priorities, which may lead to occasional delays. Please allow some extra time in your schedule post-appointment.
Injectables
Special Events: Postpone any major events for a month post-treatment. Expect possible swelling and bruising for up to two weeks, with full tissue settling in a month.
Aminoglycoside Antibiotics: If taking these antibiotics and planning for Neurotoxin (Dysport) injections, please reschedule, as this treatment can't be performed concurrently.
Healthcare Workers: If your job requires tight-fitting masks like N-95s, avoid wearing them for 2 weeks after treatments like under-eye, cheek, nose, or jawline filler. Reschedule if necessary.
Dental Visits: For lower facial treatments, avoid dental appointments 2 weeks before and after your session.
Before
Appoinment
To minimize bruising and swelling, start avoiding blood thinners, certain foods, and supplements (unless medically necessary). This includes items like Advil, Ibuprofen, Motrin, almonds, fish oil, garlic, ginger, green tea, salmon, sushi, and various supplements. For pain relief, opt for Tylenol, which doesn't thin blood, unless it's medically unsuitable for you.
Stay well-hydrated, especially when receiving dermal fillers, as dehydration can diminish their effectiveness. Fillers rely on water to achieve optimal results.

Appoinment
Avoid alcohol consumption. You may use Arnica unless you have allergies to it, or if it conflicts with your medications or medical conditions, including high blood pressure. Arnica is available for purchase in our office, at Vitamin Shoppe, or on Amazon. Always adhere to the label instructions and refrain from taking it if it's incompatible with any of your medications or health conditions.
If your previous filler does not align with our quality standards, we might need to dissolve it before proceeding. The cost for each vial of dissolver is $150. This process might require multiple sessions of dissolving before applying new filler. These sessions will be scheduled as soon as possible, typically with a two-week interval. Clients who are not local should plan their visits accordingly.
It's important to note that new filler injections cannot be done on the same day as the dissolving of previous filler in the same area. A separate appointment will be necessary for this.
If you are considering lip injections, please be prepared for a potential dissolving session and ensure you follow our Pre-Care Policies for optimal results.
Ensure you thoroughly read all these instructions to avoid missing crucial details. Adhering to pre-care not only minimizes the risk of complications and accelerates the healing process, but also enhances the outcomes of the treatment.
